La Sagrada Família
There are no words for the Sagarda Família. It is simply something you have to experience. Pictures do not do it justice and words are insufficient as well. It was designed by Antonio Gaudi, a Catalan architect. According to our tour guide Mr. Picasso (no relation to the famous Picasso unfortunately), Gaudi designed every part of the church. Gaudi lived a poor man's life and believed everything should be done for God. The amazing structure gets 50 million in Euros a year from visiting tourist. Gaudi's vision was nothing shy of incredible. The entire Sagrada Família focuses in the Holy Family -Jesus, Mary and Joseph. As you go through the structure you realize that a story is being told, a beautiful story. When I say EVERYTHING in the church is symbolic of something else believe me. It does!! It began construction in 1882 and is projected to finish in 2026. For reasons we now understand. Services in the church are invitation only, due to the 2000 person limit. This seemed a bit odd considering there is choir section that seats 800.

Tibidabo
The top of Tibidabo is BEAUTIFUL! We used the trolley to reach the top of Tibidabo which gave us an amazing view of the city. When we reached the top we spent half an hour discussing how beautiful the city was. We took pictures and spoke with locals that worked at Mirablau (a restaurant with delicious food). One amazing thing about Spain that is different than in the US is that, no one is rushing you in and out of the restaurant. You can eat and then sit for hours afterwards. You find yourself trying desperately to find a waiter to pay. Yo quiero a pagar por favor.
There is a beautiful church at the top of Tibidabo. The Church was constructed to pay for the sins of Spain. There is a building adjacent to the church where someone has been praying for the forgiveness of the sins for the past 47 years!
