SFA in Gilleleje and Gothenburg!

By: Shelby Wakefield

While in Helsingor, Denmark, we stopped in Gilleleje. This was a quaint, cozy town on the coast of the North Atlantic Ocean. With the large boats and the unique shops, this town was a charming place to spend the day. We even got one of the sailors to hang our SFA flag on his boat! After leaving Helsingor, we traveled by ferry and finally made it to Sweden. Arriving in Gothenburg, we loaded our suitcases onto our hotel because our hotel is a boat in the water! It's awesome and the view is am.azing. Yesterday we visited Hamlet's Castle. It was very interesting to be able to go in and tour something so beautiful. Today we visited the Volvo Museum and tomorrow we are going to the huge market and get some amazing fruits and treats!

SFA Exploring Copenhagen!

By: Shelby Wakefield

The past couple of days have been absolutely amazing. Exploring Copenhagen has been one of the best experiences for all of us. From our tour of UNICEF to the shopping on Stroget, we have really absorbed the many things that give Copenhagen its charm. One of the most extraordinary things that we did in Copenhagen was tour Our Savior's Church. Climbing  what  felt like ten thousand stairs was definitely worth it when we reached the top. This church tower overlooked the entire town of Copenhagen and it was the BEST view of every part of the city....Now we are in Helsinge, Denmark and residing at an Eco-Farm where everything is eco-friendly. The view of the countryside is amazing and it's definitely a nice place to relax and take a break from the hustle-and-bustle of the city.

The waterways in Copenhagen give the city an extra touch of charm

SFA in Copenhagen, Denmark

By: Shelby Wakefield

After a nine hour flight to Amsterdam and a two hour connecting flight, we finally made it to Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a great deal of traveling but when we arrived in the wonderful city it all became worth it. When stepping out of the airport, the first thing we all noticed was the remarkably fresh air! Copenhagen is considered a "green city" and the crisp, clean air definitely proves it...After checking into Hotel Danmark, we all took a stroll through the city and did a little of our own exploring. Later on in the evening we visited Tivoli, which is essentially an amusement park and garden. It was beautiful! We were also lucky enough to watch the Midsummer event of the night- a bonfire on the water. We are so excited to be here and ready to see what tomorrow has in store!
