2013 Study Abroad Class-France, Germany & Belgium |
The New Year 2013 brings 15 students and me closer to our study abroad semester. This summer I will be joining 15 other students on a trip to France, Germany and Belgium. This is a trip that will provide education on the European Union as well as to learn how to travel. Our professor, Dr. Norman Sunderman, recently had a meeting of all us to introduce ourselves and to give us a generalized idea on what we can expect. There was much talk about luggage, wallets, clothing and ever so important—comfortable walking shoes. No heels allowed on this trip that is if one wants to survive on cobblestone roads and only one suitcase per student. I can’t wait for the experience.
So far we have had a list of requirements to meet: Passports, Health Clearance, 1st and 2nd Payment Deposits. We have much more work to do as we begin the spring semester and we will also be meeting for our general classroom work and homework assignments. I expect that we will all be able to get to know each other just a bit better before we leave in June. Here is a photo of the 2013 Class from Angelo State University.
