USF - Theater History - Countdown

By: Dr. Patrick Finelli

The countdown begins for the USF London-Paris theatre history tour and course, beginning on May 18.   Thanks to CEPA for obtaining tickets to the Comédie-Française production of "Le Songe d'une nuit d'été" (A Midsummer Night's Dream) in Paris.    We are also touring Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.  The hotel is only 3 miles away with convenient public transportation by Tube.   A few of us have purchased tickets to see "Much Ado About Nothing" or "Titus Andronicus" while we are there.  We will post pictures and updates throughout the trip.  I've spoken to a few students who plan on arriving early and staying later to enjoy London and Paris on their own.   We have a full schedule of daily workshops and events, but most evenings are free, so you will have ample opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower lights during the 125th anniversary of its construction for the Paris Exposition in 1889.
