Hi
I just wanted to tell you about the WHO visit.  It was so informative and I learned so much from our speakers Susan Wilburn and Selma Khamassi.  The first talk we received information about the needle stick prevention research and the most amazing outcome of a 91% improvement from the results of what was learned in the research.  We also learned of the improvements around the world for water, waste control and air.  We all know prevention is better than having to treat and I was so thankful that the WHO is helping all countries to advance in every area.
One of the quotes presented was "never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."  Margaret Mead
Until tomorrow,
Mary Wade
