The Goring

During my stay in London I had the opportunity to go to this wonderfully, amazing fine dining restaurant called The Goring with Chanine. They had really amazing food, and to be a honest a rather funny desert menu, that consisted of really oddly named deserts, such as "spotted dick"- as weird as that may sound, it is a dessert - it is a sponge cake, with custard and raison. Why on earth name it something like that I have no idea, but after all it is London, and they are Brits, and the Brits do tend to have their own quirks and odd names for somethings. I thought it was rather funny, and it was a good memory to bring back to the US to be able to tell people here about, but also to my parents who are back in France :)
