As of right now, it is officially my 21st birthday, Europe time! There couldn't be a better group of people to spend this special day with and I know tomorrow (or actually later today) will be the most amazing birthday!
Today we traveled to Monaco. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very good because it rained while we were there. But, the city was still very beautiful. We first stopped at the International University of Monaco to learn about luxury goods and services and their master programs. They programs take 16 months today and seem very interesting. I am sure many of us would be excited to study in Monaco.
They were setting up the streets of Monaco for the huge Grand Prix race that takes place every year through the actual city itself.
We were able to have free time in Monaco to tour the area and beautiful buildings.
They have special knives to cut their pizza, fancy!
Some of the best ravioli I have ever had!
Very interesting structure.
Most of us made our way to city hall to get the official Monaco stamp on our passport. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get one in France.
We then had a lecture from Pierre about the French Riviera and the different statistics on tourism in the area.
Group photos!
On our 5 and a half hour bus ride to Italy, we plugged iPods into the speakers and jammed to some music giving a concert to Dr. Barber, her husband, our tour guide, and our bus driver. I'm sure they loved our excellent singing skills.
We are now checked into our hotel in Italy, Hotel Lario. We will only be spending one night here because tomorrow we will make our way to Switzerland for the remainder of our trip!
Arrivederci!
